Munich/Marienhof - 24th June 2014
Munich`s Marienhof in the city centre was another great location of Golden Fly Series in 2014. Pushed by 5.000 spectators, local hero Tobias Scherbarth was the pole vault winner with 5,60 m. Second was World Indoor Champion Konstadinos Filippidis (GRE) with a 5,40 m clearance before Igor Bychkov (ESP) also 5,40 m.
Women`s long jump was a close fight between Alina Rotaru (ROM) which got the lucky end with 6,40 cm only one cm ahead of local hero Michelle Weitzel.
Also a very close race in men`s long jump, where World Indoor Champion Ignisious Gaisah (NED) took the win with 7,90 m only 2 cm ahead of Wilfredo Martinez from Cuba. Paralympic Champion Markus Rehm (GER) was 3rd with good 7,87 m.
