About Golden Fly Series
Welcome to the home of the Golden Fly Series, the creation of former Austrian national Athletics Coach Armin Margreiter. Armin is the Meeting Director of the Golden Roof Challenge (Innsbruck, AUT) whose dream was to bring the most spectacular Queen of Olympic Sports - Athletics - to the heart of some of the world's most beautiful cities and deliver attractive elite sport events to the public. The Golden Fly Series does just that, it is the World's first ever In-City Athletics Tour which will include from 2013 stops in four of Europe's most attractive locations: Innsbruck, Munich, Cologne and Salzburg.
In 2016, the Golden Fly Series jumps forward to become a global tour, celebrating Carnaval style in Rio de Janeiro! Check out our amazing tour stops and watch for our news.
The Golden Fly Series is entertainment for all the family! Entry to all of the tour stops is free of charge so fans can observe the elite athletes in close proximity as they participate in the Pole Vault and Long Jump.
Spectators will share the athletes emotion with each attempt on the unique facility called the “FlySwat”.
Golden Fly Series is keen on to teach kids about athletics and a healthy lifestyle. That is why alongside the elite event our tour stops are encouraged to organise children and youth events. This theme will be developed in the near future on these pages!
