Salzburgs historical Kapitelplatz was an excellent background for more than 5.000 enthusiastic visitors admiring 10 top - pole vaulters competing beneath the castle of Salzburg.
Rasmus Jörgensen from Denmark was the men of the day with a 5,50 m clearance, close up Mareks Arents from Latvia with the same result.
